Overview
The Compensator Canopy can be used for all cooking equipment requirements – over wall (A), single island (E) and double island (D) arrangements. The Compensator Canopy works by introducing correct amounts of supply air to compensate for the extracted air through using an induction property to envelop around the cooking apparatus.
The standard Compensator Canopy (as opposed to the Compensator-90), is an energy efficient model that utilises an untreated supply air source that is then blown into the canopy and provides an induction effect at a maximum of 50%.
The main difference between the Compensator and the Compensator-90 is that the Compensator-90 uses treated supply air whereas the Compensator uses untreated supply air.

Construction
The Compensator family of canopies are both constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel in lengths of up to 4m. The canopy is fitted with Fecon® Filters to handle grease extraction. The canopy has a collection channel that flows into removable grease trays for easy cleaning. The canopy has a constant exhaust pressure drop of 100Pa and the supply air pressure drop is 40Pa.
Supply Air
The airflow extraction rate varies between -20% and a maximum of -50%. The untreated supply air is also expelled into the personal, adjustable ABS spot coolers. The spot coolers are fitted to the front area of the canopy.
The induction air is untempered, and ducted from the outside of the building (by another party) to the factory-fitted spigots. The induction air then passes through the insulated supply plenum, over the top of a perforated diffusion plate.
