Overview

Vianen’s Fecon® Filters were specifically intended to be able to eliminate grease particles from the extract air stream inside commercial kitchen ventilation systems. The Fecon® Filter does this through a series of interlocking blades in a semi-circle shape, that generates multiple, simultaneous centrifugal forces where the air can pass through the filter – this will ensure the 95% extraction rate is reached.

The Fecon® Filters are installed into the canopy on a 45° angle. The Fecon® Filters are design to be non-clogging, and the nature of their design allows for the grease to easily run off the filter, into an integrated drainage channel. Each filter is fitted with two handles for easy removal (and refitting) of the filters.

The Fecon® Filter is certified as an effective solution as a flame barrier; tested and certified to DIN 4102 standards.

Construction

The Fecon® Filters are constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel (1.0mm to 1.2mm thick) and polished with an ultra-fine grit. The filters are all 36mm deep, with two handles (as mentioned before). 

The filters contain a frame at top and bottom with slots that provide a 10% buffer for moisture and grease to drain away easily.

Fecon® Filters are able to be washed in your standard commercial dishwasher.

Variations

Fecon-S Filter

The Fecon-S Filter is used in high-grease areas or where the grease particles are extremely small. The Fecon-S Filter differs from the standard Fecon® Filter because it contains an extra stainless steel layer to capture the minute grease particles. The Fecon-S Filter is an additional 40mm thicker but the length and width remain the same.

Fecon-UV-C Filter

The Fecon-UV-C Filter is designed for specific use with the Vianen UV-C System. The Fecon-UV-C Filter contains a reflective layer so that no UV-C light can penetrate it. This extra layer is kept clean due to the operation of the UV-C System. The Fecon-UV-C Filters are slid into place from left to right.
